Job Opportunity: IT Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive IT Manager to lead our technical infrastructure, deployments, and architecture. If you're passionate about building resilient systems, automating processes, and ensuring secure, high-performing environments, this is your opportunity to shine.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Oversee system documentation and administrative processes, ensuring up-to-date and accessible records for all systems.
• Lead and maintain code repositories and version control workflows.
• Handle code deployments for C#, PHP, Node.js and Python-based applications.
• Design and maintain robust system architecture that supports business objectives.
• Administer Linux servers for performance, backups, monitoring and upgrades.
• Ensure proper network configuration and security including VPNs, firewalls and traffic control.
• Collaborate with developers, support stuff and other departments to meet IT needs.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures and best practices.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential risks or system bottlenecks.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT Systems or Infrastructure role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in Amazon Web Services - EC2, RDS, S3, Beanstalk, Lamba, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS).
• Proficiency in PHP, Python and Node.js environments.
• In-depth understanding of version control systems (Branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, etc)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control best practices.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals - IP routing, DNS, VPNs, firewalls.
• Experience with system design and architectural planning for scalable software platforms.
• Ability to document systems clearly and maintain internal IT knowledge bases.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator).
• Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Experience in setting up automated deployment pipelines(CI/CD)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience in the banking/mobile money sector(or equivalent work experience).
